DevOps Engineer (Contract)

We are seeking a contract DevOps Engineer to help establish and optimise our cloud infrastructure. You will work with our engineering team to improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment processes. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or conversion to permanent.

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for frontend and backend services
• Configure monitoring, alerting, and observability (Sentry, Vercel Analytics)
• Optimise build times and deployment processes
• Manage database operations including migrations and backups
• Implement security best practices and audit infrastructure
• Document infrastructure architecture and runbooks

• Minimum 3 years DevOps or platform engineering experience
• Strong experience with Vercel, AWS, or GCP
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Experience with PostgreSQL operations and Supabase
• Understanding of edge computing and CDN configuration
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Pulumi)

• Experience with Supabase or Firebase at scale
• Kubernetes or container orchestration experience
• Edge computing and CDN optimization experience
• Security certifications (AWS, Azure)
• Experience supporting education or high-traffic seasonal platforms
